Welcome to Niki G Pilates
I Am trained in the APPI Pilates method, a physiotherapist-designed approach used worldwide in hospitals and healthcare settings to support rehabilitation and recovery.
I previously worked as a Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Assistant at Imperial College Hospital London, where I taught Pilates-based exercise to both groups and individuals as part of their rehabilitation programmes. It was there that I discovered my love for helping people move better through exercise, which led me to complete my APPI Pilates Instructor training.
I then went on to retrain in Reformer Pilates, and have also completed my pre and postnatal Pilates training, allowing me to support clients through different stages of life and movement.
By combining my clinical experience with my passion for teaching, I offer a unique and supportive approach to Pilates — helping you build strength, confidence and move better in everyday life.

WHY CHOOSE PILATES?
For years, Pilates has been a trusted remedy for back pain, endorsed by the NHS for recovery and prevention. Its effectiveness extends beyond back pain to address various muscular disorders like shoulder pain, impingement syndrome, frozen shoulder, RSI, and other musculoskeletal issues. Pilates serves not only as a solution but also as a preventive measure, fostering better posture, strength, and a pain-free lifestyle. By incorporating a series of strengthening and stretching exercises, Pilates corrects muscular imbalances. As a former desk worker who experienced the consequences of poor posture, including aching shoulders and RSI, I discovered the transformative benefits of regular Pilates practice. It also played a crucial role in my rehabilitation after a biking accident that resulted in a shoulder injury.

TESTIMONIALS
I have been taking Pilates classes with Niki for over two years in person and via zoom. She is brilliant. I came to Pilates late in life to help a back injury and it has improved immeasurably. Also recently I had a problem with my piriformis muscle and Niki put together a targeted exercise plan I could do daily which improved the condition within a month. Highly recommend her classes and a lovely genuine person. Sue, Hove
I had a sports massage, Niki was amazing, she asked about the pressure, and got it perfectly!! She really got into the painful areas and realeased my tension, she was very friendly and attentive. Will definitely be going back!! Elysia, Brighton
